A Timeless Elopement Across Olympic National Park
Some couples don’t just want a beautiful backdrop — they want an experience. Megan and Phil flew across the country to elope in Olympic National Park, and their day was the perfect mix of wild landscapes, quiet moments, and intentional celebration.
We started the day at Lake Crescent, where the water was calm and still, almost mirroring the emotion between the two of them. Megan and Phil exchanged private vows at the water’s edge, surrounded by towering trees and misty mountains in the distance. It was intimate, peaceful, and full of heart — no crowd, no noise, just two people committing to forever.
After the ceremony, we headed back to their Airbnb tucked in the woods. They cut a small cake and shared a quiet moment together before heading out for the rest of their adventure. That pause — just the two of them, reflecting on the moment — grounded the entire day in something deeply personal.
Next, we made our way to the Hoh Rainforest, where the Hall of Mosses lived up to its name in the most magical way. The trees dripped with moss, the light filtered through like something out of a storybook, and every step felt like we were walking through a different world. Megan and Phil leaned into the vibe — wandering slowly, taking it all in, and sharing small moments that made for some truly cinematic portraits.
To end the day, we chased the light to Ruby Beach — just in time for a golden, glowy sunset that cut through the moody clouds. The beach was nearly empty, and the sky turned soft and pink behind them as we captured the final portraits of their day in a landscape that felt as awe-inspiring as the love they brought with them.
It was one of those days where every location had its own energy, but the constant was how fully Megan and Phil embraced it all. No rush, no pressure — just presence, adventure, and love.
Megan and Phil, thank you for bringing me along for your journey. Your elopement was a stunning reminder that you don’t need a big crowd to have a big day — just intention, nature, and each other
